Things that help us dream!

Hi everybody!
It is almost the end of the semester, and everybody is working really hard to get good grades, and finally be done with this amazing school year. For this reason we thought that it would be a good idea to bring a topic that refreshes our minds, when times are hard.
Music, books or movies are usually things that we use to take us to different worlds and places where we can rest from our daily day chores and activities. These things usually help us forget our problems and let us dream for at least a couple of minutes.
In this issue, all the international students, one more time share the different books, songs or movies that help them dreaming.
Join -Yu, Jan, Jose, Olga, Jin and Luis- in this journey full of fun!

Here's to Sustainability!

"Sustainability" is a hot word right now- especially at Willamette. Out of 1068 colleges and universities participating in a survey by the National Wildlife Federation, Willamette was recognized as the most dedicated to sustainability. So we thought we extend the question "What does sustainability look like to you?" to our international friends. In this issue, you'll learn about the initiatives and progress for sustainability in Germany, Japan, the Czech Republic, Russia, France and Ecuador!

Valentine's: Letter From the Editor

Valentine's Day in the U.S. is a very commercialized romantic holiday in which couples or friends often exchange, gifts, chocolates, flowers and cards. Generally it seems to be a recent phenomenon abroad, with the spread of all things American. In this issue, we learn about how this holiday is celebrated around the world, and the different customs that people have to express their love and buy things for each other. Although it is very commercialized and there is a lot of pressure in the U.S. to be romantic, it is also an opportunity to put a little effort in our various relationships.

Also in this Issue we introduce our brand new contributor: Basma Lahmine, an international student coming from Al Akhawayn, Morocco. Welcome Basma!!!
