ARTstor workshop

Need digital images? Try ARTstor.

Willamette University now has a subscription to ARTstor, a growing database that will access over 300,000 digital images. Created by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, ARTstor is a repository of hundreds of thousands of digital images and related data. It also includes software tools that enable active use of the collections.

Improved Library Account

The Library has recently launched a new feature inside the Library Account which allows patrons to track their Interlibrary Loan requests. This feature will appear at the bottom of a patron’s library account only if there are existing Interlibrary Loan requests.

As this is a new feature, we would appreciate feedback, especially if there are any problems. Email rschmidt@willamette.edu with comments and concerns.

Special Thanksgiving Hours

The Hatfield Library, along with the rest of Willamette University’s campus, will be closing at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 23 for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The library will then be closed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, before opening at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 27.

Regular hours will resume on Monday, November 28.

New York Times Online

The Hatfield Library has added access to the Historical New York Times to its growing collection of online databases. This database covers the years 1851-2002, and it provides full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. Also included are digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue.

This service is available to the Willamette community and can be found on the Database List A-Z under the letter "H" or "N."
