Three New Management Databases

The Hatfield Library is happy to introduce three new databases that are of primary interest to the Atkinson Graduate School of Management. All are full-text databases and are included in the library's A-to-Z database list.

Business & Company Resource Center is a great starting point when you are looking for company specific information, since it accesses over a dozen corporate & industry directories. You can search for company information by several different methods, and it also contains Market shares and Rankings within an industry.

Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Collection focuses on both the historical and current state of affairs in the hospitality and tourism field, while also allowing for focused study of specialized aspects of the industry - including cultural aspects of travel, leisure activities, and economic aspects of tourism.

Small Business Resource Center has information on how to start, finance or manage your small business. Resources include sample business plans, how to guides, articles and websites.

Reference Help by Text Message

You can now send questions to the reference desk by text message. Here's how it works:

    * Address your text message to 246246
* Start off the message with "send hathelp"
* Add your message

The librarian at the reference desk will receive an IM with your text message. Our response back to you will still be sent to your phone like any other text.

This service should work with most major carriers, but if you try it and find it doesn't work for you, please send us an email and let us know who your cell carrier is. That way we can update our information about the service. We'd also like to hear from you if you experience any problems using this service.

Please remember that your cell phone carrier may charge you for each text message sent and received. The library is not responsible for these charges.
