Hi Everyone!! Hope you all have had a fabulous winter break. For me, I spent all of my winter break in my country: Thailand. It might seem pretty boring since I grew up in that country, however this break was very eye-opening and cozy. For the first week, I went to Chiangrai which is very close to Thai-Burma border. I took the chance to visit Burma for two days.
I had the feeling that even though we are neighbors the living standard is largely different. There were a lot of poor people, they earned their living less than $2 a day. This is the time I talked to myself and realized that luckily I never have that scarcity in my life.
I would like to show you more about how certain conditions like poverty in this country are:
After I came back from Burma, Phuket was my next destination. I spent almost a week pampering on the beach, snorkeling, banana boating, hiking and relaxing in a white sandy beach. It was a great relief from school work and everyday life. The name of the island is Phi Phi, one of the best islands in the world, where the movie “the beach” takes place.
To be more visual, here is the Phi Phi island video.
