Hello everyone. My name is Jairo Galeano Casanova, I am 26 years old and I’m from Colombia, a beautiful country in the north part of South America. My home city is called Pasto and is located in the south part of the country and I really love living there.

About my professional life: I have been studying English for 5 years and working as an English teacher for 2. Now I have the chance to share my culture and language with all people of Willamette as a language assistant; my job is fascinating and I am learning something new every day. I am really glad to find great people who are kind, nice and are willing to help.
My life here in Salem has been exciting since the first time I got here; there are wonderful places to go, really nice weather and so many people who I get along really well with. I am surprised to find the amount of people who speak Spanish here; it is awesome. My plans for this year are to share my language, my culture, to make good friends and to get to know as much as possible about the English language.
