Hot Pot Night 火鍋

Posted by: esu | December 1, 2014 Comments Off |

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving break.

Before the break, we had a get-together and enjoyed eating hot pot together. Many people came and we had a fun time eating and chatting. Thank you to those we came and spent time with us. I hope you all enjoyed the delicious food. There were some people who had to try new food that they’ve never tried before. I really hope it was a fun cultural experience for those who’ve never had hot pot before. Those who’ve had hot pot, I’m sure you ate like king that night :)

Happy finals! May the odds be ever in your favor.

Welcome back! Some Information On Chinese Club…

Posted by: ajansen | October 15, 2013 Comments Off |

Happy Fall, fellow Chinese Enthusiasts!

Because of the departure of our beloved Language Assistant, Wenwen, this blog has seemingly been sadly neglected.

But that is about to change! What with the startup of the new Chinese Club, more new faces (myself included!) will be showing themselves on the blog.

Speaking of which, if you’re interested at all in Chinese culture or activities, come join Chinese Club and be there for Chinese Culture Hour! We hold many fun activities and always have a great time.

Last time we met, we played Chinese games – like Mah-jahng and Go. Check back here and with the Chinese Department to find out what other activities we’re having!

I found some short videos on YouTube that I want to share with you. I think most part of these videos are accurate and impartial.  They will give you a general image of China.

The audio is in English so you don’t have to worry about understanding.

10 minutes and you know about China

Some of students have plan to study in Shanghai, so I also found a good video introducing Shanghai.
