A short entry today.

Youtube is wonderful. It can provide hours of useless entertainment… especially in German.
Try these links:
Funny prank – German language skills not necessary to understand this
A rap video by Gemüseeintopf (“vegetable mulligan stew”)
A very entertaining version of Pirates of the Caribbean 3
Aladdin auf Deutsch
A personal favorite of mine – “Das Was Wir Sind” by Mondscheiner

…and how about some games?
You could try hangman
… or some traditional German card games
…or crosswords.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about del.icio.us, an online bookmark-organizing tool. Even if you were not interested or didn’t look at it, I urge to to take a look at this site of German resources on the web. The full link is http://www.aatg.org/content/view/255/. It’s maintained by the American Association of Teachers of German, and the page shows different categories of vocabulary and language, such as “Mode und Kleidung” and “Wohnen”. Each of these links takes you to a del.icio.us page under the Association’s account.
In short, this page is a type of index that will give you links to many other websites about each topic. It’s great for research! Perhaps in the next couple weeks I’ll find some links that are especially good and do an entry on them. Let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to hear about.
