Hey Spanish, as this week conveniently proceeds the holidays, I’m sure I’m not alone in my search for new forms of procrastination to distract me from my final round of midterms. Luckily, the language blogs are to the rescue with some cool Spanish You Tube videos and a few links to Spanish crosswords and games.

Everyone knows about the self broadcasting abilities of You Tube, but this online video Mecca also has far reaching potential regarding language learning. You can easily search the site for videos from Spanish speaking countries. You can get a feel for different dialects spoken in discrete regions, and challenge yourself by listening to a wide variety of native speakers. Check out these links for some great examples.

The Lion King’s hakuna matata in Spanish
Shakira y Alejandro Sanz “Te lo agradezco pero no”
Juan Luis Guerra: “Ojala que llueva Café”
Also feel free to check out these sites where you can do Spanish crosswords, as well as play other games that are guaranteed to effectively waste your time while providing you with a bit of Spanish vocab. practice.
