SPANISH CLUB ACTIVITIES – FALL 2009 SPRING 2010

OCTOBER
Hispanic Heritage Celebration
An evening of Spanish fun where we could listen to Spanish music, learn about Spanish culture, speak some Spanish and, of course, eat Spanish food.
NOVEMBER
Latin Dance Party
Willamette University Spanish Club invited all students to attend an exciting LATIN DANCE PARTY. There were a Salsa dance lesson, snacks and drinks!
MARCH
Empanadas: “A bite of Spanish”
On March 8th we celebrated the International Women’s day by sharing a delicious snack from Latin America and Spain: “Empanadas.”
We prepared our own empanadas, enjoyed music, and learned more about outstanding women from Latin America and Spain.
APRIL
Fiesta latina
Hosted by WU Spanish Club and ALIANZA, the Fiesta Latina included a classical Spanish guitar performance, dance performances, salsa lessons, Spanish art, and a raffle to benefit the victims of the Chilean earthquakes.
