¡Hasta luego Ecuador!

This is one of my favorite pictures from my Ecuador experience! It was taken on my last night there. During this night I was so sad to leave, but so full of joy because I was surrounded by people I loved and I knew I would never forget. In many ways this picture demonstrates the aspects of my abroad experience that are near and dear to my heart. I met wonderful people, fell in love with the language, learned to appreciate the culture and jumped into the unknown, coming out of it with more than I could have ever imagined. I went to Ecuador thinking I was going to change things for the better there, but to be honest, the people there had a huge impact on my life and I ended up being the lucky one. The hardest part now is that when I look at this photo it feels like it is so far away and happened so long ago. However, I know I am living my life now at Willamette full of all of the changes and wonderful lessons I learned while I was abroad. I miss all of my Ecuadorian friends so much and really want to go back! Que viva Ecuador!
