Manchester Bomb
By nkulande on Oct 6, 2006 in UK
I’ve chosen the following article because I feel that the Manchester bomb was a major turning point in Manchester’s recent history. In my opinion it actually ended up doing the opposite of what the IRA intended, thankfully there were no casualties and it strengthened us as a city and greatly improved the city centre.
Ten years on from the bombing and Manchester is more diverse, vibrant, attractive and interesting than it ever was. Although the article I have chosen could never fully show you the changes that occurred I hope it will give you an insight into the way that Manchester bounced back, bigger and stronger than ever before. I hope you enjoy the article and hopefully you will learn a little bit more about England’s Northern gem. If anyone wants to know more then feel free to ask me any questions and I’ll do my best to enlighten you. Enjoy!
