Bonfire Night
By nkulande on Nov 5, 2006 in UK
Hey everyone, I have chosen to give you the address to a fun website all about Guy Fawkes, the treason plot and bonfire night. Every year in England on the 5th November people set off fireworks, make bonfires, sometimes burn effigies of Guy Fawkes, eat toffee apples (kind of like caramel apples but better and more likely to break teeth), eat parkin (type of cake) and generally have a good time and act like children.
I love this time of year as everyone gets really excited and who doesn’t appreciate a good fireworks display? Its a pretty important day celebrated by most of the country, its ingrained in our history so i thought I’d tell you all about it. Enjoy!
